Symposium, Jerwood Arts
9th December 2019
9th December 2019
This symposium expanded on Array’s Jerwood Collaborate! commission As Others See Us and their collective research into current activism in Northern Ireland around LGBTQ+ rights, feminism and anticolonialism.
We invited artists and activists from different generations to directly address current and future issues within Northern Ireland, platforming voices that fall outside current sectarian narratives.
The panel was chaired by Northern Irish curator, activist and community organizer Jane Wells and featured: Ann Rossiter, feminist activist and writer; Electra La C*nt, queer drag artist and activist; Malachai O’Hara, Deputy Leader of the Green Party in Northern Ireland and Una Mullally journalist, podcaster, broadcaster, screenwriter and author.
